Hospice Palliative Care aims to relieve suffering and improve quality of living and dying.
Hospice Palliative Care helps individuals and families who are living with, or at risk of developing, any life-limiting illness regardless of their age, prognosis or needs who are prepared to accept care.
The key to the provision of high-quality, high-value Hospice Palliative Care
is early identification; impeccable assessment by skilled care teams; collaborating efficiently and proactively with timely intervention to positively impact the illness journey for those in our care.
VON Durham Hospice Services serves all of the residents of Durham Region with respect and dignity. We respectfully acknowledge that the land on which we serve and operate on is the traditional territory of the Mississaugas of Scugog Island First Nation, which is home to many First Nation, Inuit, and Métis People. We are a team that is committed to learning, understanding, and acknowledging the colonialist history faced by Indigenous peoples and the impact this history has today.
